I am selling the reproduction of a French sabre, as it was produced after the French revolution.

It is called the "Valmy sword" to remind us on the battle of Valmy which took place in 1792.Its slightly curved steel blade is 75cms./29.5" long.

Total length of sabre (blade in leather scabbard without carrying rings) is 97 cms/38".
Weight : 1.5 kgs/ 3.5 lbs.

Its grip has a leather lining bound with a twisted brass wire. It is not a high quality reproduction as our other museum quality reproductions, but it is ideal for display and a famous sabre for re-enactors and theatrical use.
