I am selling a reproduction of an officer's dress sword dating from Victorian times.
Its grip is bound with twisted copper wire, like an original, which were of course bound with full silver wire.
The blunt steel blade is 80 cms./31.5" long. It is engraved with scroll ornaments, crown and anchor on one side, the royal crest with inscription "Dieu et mon droit" on the other.
Total length of sword (blade in leather scabbard with brass furniture) is 97 cms/38".Weight : 1 kg/2 lbs.
It is ideal for display and a first-class stage sword.
Original swords in such a good condition are very rare and thus very expensive for collectors.
