I am selling a very sturdy reproduction of this famous Roman tool, which was carried by the Roman legionnaires as an entrenching tool and weapon and was carried during their conquest of Europe and Britain up to Hadrian's wall.

Only for display use.

Our steel reproduction is in original size and its dimensions are similar to archeological finds. See more under "dolabra" in Wikipedia and Google.

Our dolabra is for decoration and suitable for role play, having blunt edges.

Their blade was equipped with a sheath of brass, many of these have survived and were found on battle fields and near Roman military settlements throughout the Roman "empire".

Its blade is 78 cms./approx 31" long.

Total length of wooden shaft is 76 cms./30".

Total weight : 2.1 kg (4.6 lbs.)
