We are selling a copy of this Saxon helmet in original size.

This style of helmet was used by the guards regiments of the Saxon monarch, when Saxony had become part of the German Empire as one of its states.Under the "Kaiser" each German state kept its own uniforms and helmets and the Saxon cuirassier guards helmets with the roaring lion on top are the rarest of them.

We made this helmet for collectors, decoration or theatrical use, because original pieces are almost unobtainable even at very high prices.This helmet weighs approx. 1.7 kg (approx. 4 lbs.).It is made of brass and German silver and has a leather lining.

We can also supply this helmet with a copper shell instead of the brass shell at the same price.

It is 33 cms.(13 inches) high (including lion) and fits a small head size (55 cms. = 6.3/4 inch English hat size) when the chin strap is properly set.
