In the 1st cent. Roman legionaries wore an armour made of metal plates which offered both protection and flexibility at the same time. The iron plates were connected with leather straps and consisted of two body pieces and two shoulder parts.
We have had such a Roman armour reproduced which can be found with item No. AH3851.
The rosewood stand we offer here is useful to display or store the lorica segmentata.
The wood is coated with a brilliant varnish.
It will be shipped dismounted but can easily be assembled.
