I am selling a copy of this round helmet in original size.
This style of helmet was used when the Normans conquered England up to the times of the crusaders.
It is historically correct as the Norman troops shown on the Bayeux Tapestry wear this type of helmet.
The helmet has a nose guard and a Celtic trefoil decoration impressed into the steel.
It is made from 18 gauge steel (1.2 mm thickness) and weighs abt.1 kg( approx. 2 lbs.).It fits even "big heads" quite well (up to hat size 7.3/4) (63 cms.), it has an adjustable leather lining inside and there is room for some extra padding. We could not make this style of helmet in "battle ready" quality, because our workshop cannot make the trefoil impression in sturdier (thicker) material.
