I am selling a high quality authentic copy of a crusaders' helmet in original size. This style of helmet was used in the 12th to the 14th century.

The original of this helmet can be found in the Royal Scottish Museum, Edinburgh, Scotland.

This heavy helmet with its narrow eye slits was the most famous of the crusaders' helmets and its front is reinforced by an iron crusaders' cross.
It is ready to wear and will fit everybody, even a "big" head, as it is padded inside and can be fastened tightly by an adjustable leather chin strap (see bottom photo).

The weight alone shows that it is suitable for reenactment - 3.7 kg / 8.1 lbs.
It is handmade from 2mm/0.078" strong steel (gauge between 14 and 13).

It is 29 cms/11.4" high (front) and 23 cms/9" in the back.
Width between the ears: 21 cm/8.2".
