D3380 - 10th century Viking or Norman sword
This type of replica sword we are selling was the main weapon used by the vikings when they fought their battles from Scandinavia to Britain and the European continent until they finally settled in Northern France.
The sword has a straight octogonal wooden grip 13 cms (5 inches) long, cast brass pommel and cast brass quillon (crossguard) 22cms.(8.5 inches) long.
Its sheath is covered with leather and brass furniture.
The sword with sheath is 106 cms (42 inches) long,the steel blade length is 84 cms.(33 inches).
It is supplied with blunt edges to allow use on stage.Total weight : 2 kgs. (3.5 lbs.)
