Y40L - Bascinet helmet with visor, 14th century, size L
This bascinet helmet copy is handforged from steel and is based on a 14th century original.
The visor can be opened; small slids in the visor protect the eyes. The leather covered inlet can be adjusted.
The helmet is made of 2mm thick steel and is suitable for reenactment.
Headsize (inner liner size): Max. 70 cm / 27.5".
Inner length: 26 cm / 10.2" (front to back)
Inner width: 20 cm / 7.8" (ear to ear)
Weight: 2.7 kg / 6 lbs
You may either use the brass casings or the small holes in the back rim to attach a chainmail neck protection. The size of the helmet however allows to wear a chainmail hood underneath as well.
