AH2004 - Cavalry Spatha, 3rd Cent. AD
This sword which is about 10 cm / 4" longer than the usual gladius was originally used by the Roman cavalry.
As time went by more and more legionairies used it, and finally the traditional shortsword was completely displaced by this model.
The reproduction offered by us is a true to original copy, length is 90 cm / 35.4", blade length 63 cm / 24.8".
Weight incl. sheath is about 1.5 kg / 3.3 lbs.
