S13 - Large 6 inch Brass Navy Sextant w. Hardwood Box, Replica
This ship sextant is handmade from solid brass.
Its telescope has ground glass optics and produces a sharp image.
All adjustable color filters, an adjustable mirror and the micrometer drum to measure the inclination are crafted in the old style.
Therefore this sextant can still be used, it is not only for decoration, you can show with it how these sextants were used before the GPS was invented.
The sextant is contained in a strong hardwood box.
A brass navy anchor and corner enforcement brass pieces are meticulously inlaid into the hardwood.
