P19 - Chain Mail Bishop's Mantle, 15th century
This chain mail "bishop's mantle" shoulder protection was worn over a chainmail shirt or without one.
It was made from zinc plated 16 gauge steel links, combined in the antique pattern (4 links through the 5th), inner link dia. 3/8" (10 mms).
Zinc coating protects your "mantle" from rust. If the neck opening is too narrow for you, you can easily cut one or a half line of rings off with a pair of pliers.
