AH4111H - Falcata, Celtic sword, 4th cent. B.C.
The falcata was a fierce weapon of the pre-Roman Hispania and the Romans learned to fear this weapon during their conquest of “Hispania”.
Our reproduction for light reenactment has a wooden sheath covered with red leather and brass furniture.Its grip is made from bone, which looks like ivory.The brass pommel is shaped like a horse head and a smaller (skinning ?) knife is attached to the main sheath in an additional small sheath.This sword is supplied with a blunt edge, otherwise it would not be allowed on stage.
