AH6739 - Viking Helmet from Gjermundbu,Norway, 900 AD
I am selling a copy of this famous Viking helmet in original size. The original helmet was found in a Norwegian burial mound near Gejermundbu and is now displayed in the Oslo Museum of National Antiquities.
For heavy reenactors' battle this is one of the sturdiest Viking combat helmet our supplier has made so far.
It is made from 13 gauge steel (2.3 mms or .09 inch thick).It fits even "big heads" quite well (hat size 7.3/4) (63 cms.), it has a leather chin strap and an adjustable leather lining inside and there is still room for some extra padding.
It has a chainmail face and neck protection and has a total weight of approx. 4.9 kgs.( 10.8 lbs.).
