D1049 - infantry officer's sabre, England, France and America
This sword is classified amongst collectors as the first official pattern of an English infantry sword of 1786.
It was introduced in France and in America as well, best known as the 5-ball officer's spadroonfor the 5-ball beaded decorations on its guard and its knucklebow.
