D100P - naval officer's sabre and officer's dirk, England, ca.1800
The sword is classified amongst collectors as the first official pattern of an English naval officer's sword of ca.1800.
The accompanying dirk was issued with it.
Both items have a ribbed ivory grip with its typical gilt brass "cigar band" in the middle with inset fouled anchor motif.
