I am selling an authentic copy of the wellknown Scottish pipers dirk together with a matching sgian dubh, which usually is carried in the right stocking.
Both daggers have wooden handles with an interlace pattern, the dirk's handle has nickel tacks added.
Blades are made from tempered carbon steel. Both sheaths are made from wood, covered with leather and nickel plated furniture.
Size of dirk : 51 cms (20 inch) incl. sheath length of knife : 45 cms. (18 inch)length of blade with thistle motif on both sides: 29cms. (11.5 inch)
Size of sgian dubh : 22.5 cms. (9 inch) incl. sheath
length of dagger : 19 cms. (7.5 inch)blade length : 9.5 cms (3.75 inch)
These daggers are ideal for display and are also still carried as parts of a real Scotttish dress.
