Cervellieres are the simplest and least expensive helmets for reenactment beginners.
These helmets were first introduced during the late 12th and were the primary head protection for Crusaders at that time. They were worn either alone or over chainmail.
In comparison to simple cervellieres our copy of a medieval helmet (2 mm / 0.07" steel) is reinforced by a middle ridge.
