Such an open sallet helmet was worn around the 15th century by archers and common foot soldiers. This form was especially popular in Italy.
A bevoir was often added to protect the chin.
Due to the strong metal of 2 mm / 0.078" (gauge between 14 and 13) our reproduction may be used for reenactment.
