This compass is a true to original copy of a French 17th century compass.
The Royal coat of arms and the names and geographical positions of 12 European cities are engraved in the lid.

The compass rose on the black subfront looks very decorative, the four directions are shown in old writing.

Although it is carefully cast in brass we have to offer this compass at a very low price due to the following reason:
The supplier has made mistakes when engraving the directions (see picture). If you do not mind this compass is a real bargain.
