I am selling a copy of a French Napoleonic chasseurs shako in its original size, as it was used during the Napoleonic wars until their end at Waterloo.
It was handmade for decoration or theatrical use, because original shakos in this style are almost unobtainable even at very high prices.The shako is made from pressed felt and extremely light, it weighs approx. 0.8 kgs (2lbs.) .
It is 32 cms (12 inches) high (including top pompon) and fits up to a head size of 58 cm (23"). With a bit of effort the helmet can be remodeled to receive a larger size.
It has an adjustable liner inside (see last photo).
