This chainmail shirt is handmade of 8mm spring steel rings in the pattern "4 rings in one" (please see picture).

For chest size up to ca.100 cm
Length from shoulder ca. 60-70 cm
Sleeve length: 10 cm
Weight: 10 kg / 22 lbs.
A "hamata" is what the Romans called a sleeveless or short-sleeved chainmail shirt. In addition to the plainer shirts this was equipped with a reinforced shoulder part. The additional chainmail collar was connected to the shirt with a steel buckle.
This shirt is only suitable for slim legionairies and is therefore offered at a special price. It is worn with a thin tunic, not with a padded gambeson.
