I am selling a "Roman" face mask for the welknown cavalry helmet AH6049 for reenactors. Helmets with a face mask hinged at the middle of the forehead and two cheek pieces were used in Roman cavaöry units (alae) from about 100 A.D. till 400 A.D.
The helmets shipped by Deepeeka before 2008 were furnished with a cast bronze mask which was so heavy that it pulled the entire helmet down on the bearer's face.
Now you can buy and attach this much lighter face mask of 250 g (0.5 lbs) and your helmet will be well balanced and sit correctly.
